2017 Chinese Young Scholar Forum

WESTERN AUSTRALIA * November 18 (Saturday) 2017 @ Curtin University

Chinese Young Scholars Forum is a cross-disciplinary event hosted by WACSA. It provides an invaluable opportunity for Chinese students, research fellows, and early career academics in Western Australia to showcase their scientific excellence and innovation. We will invite distinguished professors and senior scholars to share their experiences as an academic. Research topics include but are not limited to:

  • IT and Computer Sciences, GIS, …
  • Economics, Business and Management
  • Social Sciences, Psychology, …
  • Agricultural and Food Science, …
  • Medical & Health Science, …

At the event, you may share knowledge, skills, and issues in your research; find your potential research and project collaborators; learn how to write and publish high-quality papers; learn how to prepare yourself or find academic positions in the competitive academic environment; establish relationships with other outstanding students and researchers in your research field; be recognized by a few awards based on your research achievement.

Two types of awards will be granted to the excellent HDR students and/or young scholars: HDR Excellent Research Awards, Excellent Research Fellowship AwardsThe final awards will be based on peer-reviews and selected by professionals in the field. Research Fellowship awards are limited to those within 5 years of finishing their PhD. Each award will be granted a WACSA Award Certificate with Cash Prize.

Submission Requirement:

A selection of submissions will have the opportunity to give a short presentation of approximately 10 minutes. Please submit one page including your talk’s title, abstract, and your short bio. Award applicants will need to include *additional* information at the second page: (1) Nominate one of your best papers published in the past 3 years; (2) Specify the ranking of the published journal or conference; (3) Describe briefly the significance of the research in the paper. The online submission Web page for the forum is https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=wachineseyoungschola
